South Asian University is conscious of the task of harnessing the knowledge existing in the region. Being the cradle of a continued civilisational history there is a lot to be learnt from its rich past and the vibrant present. We also have the arduous task of keeping abreast with new technologies and ever expanding knowledge and create new knowledge continuously through a synergy of the great past and the contemporary progress for the betterment of the region and its people. Keeping in view these challenges and responsibilities, the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has been established and I am sure that it will make contributions of utmost relevance in diverse spheres of knowledge creation and curricular and pedagogical innovations.
